Garbage – Bleed Like Me

Garbage 2005 Bleed Like Me

Garbage released their fourth album, Bleed Like Me, on April 12, 2005. Instead of continuing in the electronic direction of Version 2.0 and Beautiful Garbage, Bleed Like Me sounds more back to basics and straightforward rock. The band wanted a more primal, guitar-based sound, resulting in an album that is raw and dark, with the kind of buzzing energy found in a live setting. The record got mixed reviews, with some critics pointing out that the music sounded dated and lacked the venom found in earlier Garbage songs. Nonetheless, Bleed Like Me became Garbage's highest charting album yet, reaching number 4 on the Billboard 200. "Why Do You Love Me" was the band's lead single, followed by "Bleed Like Me," "Sex Is Not The Enemy," and "Run Baby Run."

Highlights on Bleed Like Me include "Bleed Like Me," "It's All Over But The Crying," "Why Do You Love Me," "Run Baby Run," and "Sex Is Not The Enemy."
