Gwen Stefani Releases Second New Single “Spark The Fire”

Just this October, Gwen Stefani released “Baby Don’t Lie,” her first new solo single in 8 years. And now that she’s back in the solo groove, Gwen’s not slowing down. Already she has another new single for fans: “Spark The Fire” is a hip hop styled banger a la 2005’s “Hollaback Girl.” That’s no surprise, as Pharrell co-wrote both. After weeks of hyping it up, “Spark The Fire” is finally out along with a new music video. Check it out:

Like her video for “Baby Don’t Lie,” this new video for “Spark The Fire” is filled with bright colors and animation. Speech bubbles – with both words and emojis – give it a comic-book vibe. Gwen filmed the music video around the same time she did the one for “Baby Don’t Lie;” both were directed by Sophie Muller.

Gwen first mentioned “Spark The Fire” during some interviews while promoting “Baby Don’t Lie.” She played a short clip of the song through her phone, and fans have been buzzing about it since.

Gwen Stefani is currently working on both a new solo album and a new No Doubt record. Both are expected to be released next year.
